Riverstown House IGS Awards

We are very pleased that our project at Riverstown House,Kildangan, Co Kildare has made the shortlist for the Irish Georgian Society Conservation Awards 2022. The house is a formal-fronted architectural gem with layers of history, originally the wing to a larger house, and containing internal joinery of the 1740s including a fine Chinoiserie staircase. The house has been brought back from a dilapidated state over a number of years and adapted as a modern dwelling with a contemporary extension and a new garden. Excellent work was carried out by Ballymorris Contractors, Portarlington, with Calx Restoration, Timeless Sash Windows, Smith and Henderson Stuccadores, and a large number of excellent subcontractors, many from the local area. The awards will be announced at the City Assembly House on 20thof October.
